Crypto Connect Expo (“Crypto Connect Expo”, “we”, “us” or “our”) operates the website at cryptoconnectexpo.com (the “Site”) and organises crypto, blockchain, NFT and Web3 events (the “Events”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Site or registering for an Event, you agree to this Policy.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide: when you register or buy a ticket, apply to speak, exhibit or sponsor, subscribe to updates, or contact us, we may collect your name, email address, phone number, company or organisation, job title, billing details (processed by our payment providers), and any message or application details you send us.

Event information: badge and check-in details, session preferences, and photographs, audio and video that may be recorded at our Events (see Section 6).

Information collected automatically: when you visit the Site we may collect your IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, time spent, referring pages, and similar usage data through cookies and similar technologies (see Section 5).

Information from partners: ticketing, registration and payment platforms we use (for example Eventbrite or WooCommerce payment providers) may share registration and order information with us so we can manage your attendance.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to: operate and improve the Site; process registrations, tickets, speaker, exhibitor and sponsor applications; communicate with you about Events you register for, including schedule changes; send event news and marketing where you have consented or where permitted by law; run networking features connected with our Events; prevent fraud and keep our Events safe; and comply with legal obligations.

3. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share it with: service providers who help us run the Site, ticketing, payments, email and analytics, under confidentiality obligations; sponsors, exhibitors or speakers only where you have consented (for example by allowing your badge to be scanned) or asked us to make an introduction; venue and security partners where needed for Event access and safety; and authorities where required by law or to protect our rights and the safety of attendees.

4. Cryptocurrency and Financial Information

We never ask for, and you should never send us, your private keys, seed phrases, wallet passwords or exchange account passwords. If we accept payment in cryptocurrency, only the public wallet address and transaction details needed to confirm payment are processed.

5. Cookies and Analytics

The Site uses cookies that are necessary for it to work (such as security and shopping-cart cookies) and, where enabled, analytics and marketing cookies that help us understand visits and promote future Events. You can control cookies in your browser settings; disabling some cookies may affect Site features. Where third-party advertising or analytics tools are used, those providers may collect information under their own privacy policies.

6. Photography, Audio and Video at Events

Our Events are photographed and filmed. By attending, you understand that your image or voice may appear in recordings used to document and promote Crypto Connect Expo and future events. If you do not wish to be photographed, please tell a member of the event team on site and we will make reasonable efforts to accommodate you.

7. Data Retention and Security

We keep personal information only for as long as needed for the purposes in this Policy, including legal, accounting and safety requirements. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no website or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent to marketing at any time. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in any email. To make a privacy request, contact us through the contact section of our homepage and we will respond as required by applicable law.

9. Children’s Privacy

The Site and Event registration are intended for adults. Family-oriented features such as NFT Kids are provided for participation with a parent or legal guardian. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13; if you believe a child has provided us information, contact us so we can delete it.

10. Third-Party Links

The Site may link to sponsor, speaker, venue, ticketing and social-media websites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices, and we encourage you to read their policies.

We may update this Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date, and material changes will be highlighted on the Site where appropriate.
